Anyone have any suggestions on what kind of mattress to get?? I currently have a memory foam, but its garbage. It's killing my lower back. I've been looking really hard at the sleep number.

Crazy thing, I love sleeping on the floor. It never bothers me and my back feels great when I do. Go figure. I sleep on the floor probably 1/3 of the time. Sometimes I have gone weeks of just sleeping on the floor LOL

Same here. I can't explain it but my back feels better. I pin a pillow under my legs cause of my big butt and sleep great.

              Re: Matresses

If I was a doctor, I would tell more people to sleep on a piece of foam rubber on the floor LOL...I do use that when I sleep on the floor. It is almost like no padding at all, I throw a sleeping bag on top of it and its the best dam nights sleep you ever had..I sleep on a pillow top mattress too, and it doesnt make any difference. I can sleep either way. I still have a waterbed in one bedroom that I havent slept on in years but I used to love that thing.

Hell, from the looks of it, most mattresses are a colossal ripoff...might as well start at the bottom and get a mat for the floor and if that doesnt fix your problem, you can go up from there...You can still have sex on the couch and on the floor LOL

I got a memory foam mattress with a foundation frame. Not the most expensive but had it for 5 years and sleeps great. It is warm in the winter and cool in the summer

I have two Serta pillowtops kingsize. Really comfortable but cheap and start to sag over the years for sure.

I have had a bad back since I was 12, my current bed is Sterns & Foster and I love it. I've had it for 3 years and it still is just as comfy as day 1. Also comes with a 20 year warranty so if a spring pops out or something you get a new bed for $0. It was pricey at $2,300 but it was worth every penny. Its a king btw.
