    So I was a dipshit the other night arm wrestling my boy and yah I kicked his ass but in turn I think I tore a muscle? I felt it right after I arm wrestled didn't hurt just didn't feel normal. So the next day it was a little sore didn't think much of it until I started working out my shoulders then it started hurting...... So I left the gym and when I woke up this morning my arm was killing me! So I took Tylenol its all good now..

    Question is how long should I wait before I train again and any advice greatly appreciated !

    Best advice in the world about arm wrestling is DO NOT ARM WRESTLE. It's an unnatural movement and will always end up in damage of some sort it seems. Seen too many guys get hurt and I just walk away from the challenge these days. And btw it's most likely not muscle damage but a strain. Take naproxen, 500 mg every 4 hours, to keep inflammation to a minimum and give it a couple of weeks. Do not take naproxen on empty stomach and do not lay down within 15 minutes of taking.

      Did it bruise. If its torn you will know. If you can take a tylenol and be good, its not torn.

          ohhh shit no its not torn then.......I took Tylenol this morning as stated above and I haven't had to take anything since it does not hurt at all but It still doesn't feel normal like strength and what not?

            Over stretched or over exerted.
            When in doubt, ice and anti inflammatory.

            Better to treat it worse than it is then to make it worse.

                How long should I stay away from the gym for don't wanna restless it like I did want it 100% before I hit gym again

                  Looks like broken blood vessels. I would you could start training when it feels better but start slow and lighter tha normal. Would be wise to modify your training for a while and if you feel pain, then stop what you are doing.

                    that picture is not me, it was a member showing me what a torn muscle looks like. My arm looks fine and all just doesn't feel 100% just curious how long you would wait if you strained or over exerted a muscle ? I didn't tear or rip anything as Tylenol took care of the pain.

                      oh, well if tylenol helped, I would think that it would be a slight strain. I am not a doctor though so I would say listen to your body and start out slow
