Computer could be detecting a malfunction...best to get that serviced as there probably is a problem with the air bag man

Air bag sensor could be starting to fail. They aren't cheap either. I'm pretty sure they use gold in them.

SEnsors are never cheap. We had to pay $1000 for an oxygen sensor just to pass emissions. Get in checked

the cheap in me.. go to auto store get a ODBII meter plug it in get code then clear code. not the right way but yes I have done it. air bag light hasn't come back on either. its an 06 Silverado total cost about 100 bucks and you keep the meter for next time

^^^^^^^I like this idea better as they want 100$ just to plug it in and see wats wrong the ripoffs. I know its expensive when your fuking with the airbags.

if the sensor is broken your airbag will not deploy in an accident. you can clear the code by disconnecting the battery for a couple of minutes in some cases but even if you use a scanner it will come back on if it is malfunctioning

                  Re: anybody know about cars?

Like mentioned above, use the OBDII to find out what the exact error code is. From there look it up on the internet and it should tell you which side of your vehicle the sensor is failing/failed. Sensors are very easy to replace, DIY type of deal. I have my own tuner which can flash my PCM to any custom tune I want for my truck. It also has an OBDII to read error codes so I am able to troubleshoot a lot of the things myself. If you are really desperate, youtube is very helpful with video tutorials.
