  • Day at the Spa for an Anniversary gift?

What do you guys and girls think? I've never done anything like this for my wife sadly. So since I've got her everything else women seem to enjoy, I figured I give a day at the spa a shot this time around. This is what the package looks like:

    5 HOURS, 15 MINUTES
The best of everything The Woodhouse has to offer. Your day begins with your choice of a Rest, Renew or Detox Bath Cure to enliven the senses. Next, drift away into the ultimate relaxation with our Signature Four-Handed Massage, followed by our rejuvenating and nourishing Woodhouse Signature Minkyti Facial. Enjoy a relaxing spa cuisine and finish your experience with The Woodhouse Signature Manicure and Pedicure.

    The signature manicure is:
    50 MINUTES
Enjoy a luxurious, detailed manicure and unwind with a soothing foot bath. Our comprehensive experience begins with a gentle exfoliation to remove dry skin and promote cell renewal. Hands are treated to a deep, penetrating micro-algae mask, followed by a hydrating massage and paraffin treatment to strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier and help prevent the signs of aging. The healing power of grape seed, aloe vera and Vitamin E replenishes for smooth texture.

    And the signature pedicure is:
Slip into a state of total relaxation with our detailed pedicure. Your experience includes a stimulating massage with an ultra-rich micro-algae scrub to invigorate sore, tired feet, smooth rough areas and eliminate calluses. Enjoy a total state of bliss as warm volcanic stones are massaged luxuriously from heel to knee followed by reflexology to increase relaxation and release energy. Complete your experience with a velvety smooth grape seed moisture cream.

    Good idea?

Don't tell anybody, but I had to text her buddy who is deployed in Afghanistan and ask her what's the deal on these type of things lol!

She likes it when I do them, but I bet somebody who know's what they're doing would be a better experience ha ha. Damn a tip for everybody? that's going to be another $100 easy then on top of what the package cost. Hmm...

The reason I ask is sometimes people do not like massages because they feel weird when strangers touch them. I like massages but I don't think I would want to massage therapists working on me at once. That is just me though. I have worked in the salon/spa business all my life so I do know that grtuity should be given to anyone who performs a service. Check with the spa because it nay say something like a gratuitty is required for a spa package but gratuities are usually up to the customer

I useally tip $20 for a massage, sometimes $25 if it was extra good, and this is just for one massage therapist

Sometimes you can "build your own" spa package too. Uh, would you please send this idea to Fuzo, lol. My birthday is next month

I wish. We don't know anybody here, our closest friend got deployed last month, and we are thousands of miles away from the nearest family member. It's just us out here. They open up soon so I'm going to call. I'd rather her not eat there anyway lol!

I know you know exactly what she likes but if they have a website, I can help you pick some good things if you want?

                          Hot stone massages are awesome!!!

Volcanic Stone Massage (50 or 80 minutes)
                          50 minutes-$120

                          Woodhouse Classic Facial
                          50 Minutes $110.00

                          Agave Nectar Pedicure
                          $60 or

                          Organic Sugar Scrub Pedicure
                          $70.00

                          Agave Nectar Manicure
                          $45.00

These would be my picks!!! No need to pay more for "extra" fluff when she will reep the benefits of relaxation from services like these also. If you don't think she would like the hot stone massage, go for the swedish massage for $95. If you want to take care of booking these for her, call and give them a daye and ask them to coordinate these services for her.

I would book in this order

                          massage
                          facial
                          pedicure
                          manicure

Would be okay to cahnge the order of the first 2 and then the second two but def the massage/dacials before the nails

So you are looking at $350 on the lower end. Think you have enough left for me to go to,lol

Looks like an upscale place so you should expect to recieve top notch service. Remember they will try to upsell services to you, especially when they have a guy calling to get this for his lady, lol
