Amen brother!!.. I can relate to this more than you know. My wife has not only stuck by my side... but carried me through some incredibly dark, difficult times in my life. Hell, If I could have left me, I would have. After what we've seen... what we've experienced and what we've created together... I know I am one of the "Luckiest Bastards on the Planet" right beside you.

Okay, since my other half started this, I will post. Fuzo and I have been together for 24 years and married 16 in September. We have been through a whole lot over the years and it has only made us stronger today. Marriage is hard work and it can seem like a roller coaster at times but it is well worth it. My advice to anyone would be to ALWAYS try and keep communication between the two of you. Don't assume the other knows how you feel. GIve hugs daily and don't forget to say "I love you every so often! Oh, and make sure you tell your wife how good she looks, especially after age 40 cause this is a rough and challenging decade for us women,lol.

2 years 8 months and I love her but its been really hard lately she was married before and finally getting the divorce finalized. She is a wonderful women but It's really hard right now she is very insecure and worries that things will go wrong and I won't love her anymore mainly Bc the divorce brings up bad memories I guess. me being away for work makes it hard. It's so hard to think of forever it scares me but could not see myself without her either.

she needs to understand that everyone is different, and just bc her past may carry a dark shadow doesnt mean it foreshadows her future. i know sometimes us guys dont like to be sensitive to the feelings of women, but having great communication can ease these old wounds. i have delt with insecurities in my long relationship and what has moved us past those negative scared feelings is staying positive, excellent communication, being understanding, and reassuring feelings. theres also a point where people have to forgive their past bc if they cant move on, then it will only cause drag on the future. i always tell my babe "theres no point in worrying about something that hasnt happened." since the divorce is just coming to an end im sure it will help her close a chapter in her life, and be able to move on with you.

True. Trying lol. Would be nice to close the chapter completely but they have children so we are ****ed lol. It will help her move on though....
