never. most of the time unsolicited advice no matter how good the intentions is normally accepted with at best indifference at worst you might get called a 4 letter word. i just watch and chuckle

I usually don't tell them if they do it right unless its with heavy weight then I do cause its impressive to finally see someone doin something right. If they do it wrong I usually just say ****em most people at the gym are dbags every personal trainer is. Except the chick she's hot lol. Unless I know them and them barely started I try guiding them in the right direction.I say this due to I've. Had people join thinkin I was going to be their personal trainer go in on their time no pay. I told them my schedule if they wanna jump in that's fine I don't mind unracking and racking weight to teach someone but it has to be on my time not theirs unless $$$ is involved and on top of that its like birds they all gotta learn to fly solo once they get the. Basics they needa do their thing not rely on me to be there for everything grinds my gears.

I am a trainer and I don't saying anything unless they are a client, I know them and think they will open to being corrected, or they ask for my help.

Plus it doesn't do any good. I have corrected so many people and the next day they are doing the same thing wrong again. Frustrating.

Most people just simple don't give a crap and are going through the motion. IMO
