Texas lawmakers have sent to Gov. Rick Perry a bill that allows concealed handgun license holders to carry a revolver or semi-automatic pistol, regardless of what they trained with on the shooting range.

We used to have the same requirement in Nevada until about a year ago when they changed it. It was ridiculous. Whatever model and caliber gun you shot with at the range when taking the test for your CCL was the only model and caliber you could carry. The only exception was a revolver, in which you could carry any type of revolver as long as you qualified with a revolver.Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force.
