1st time to dentist in about 10 years...Good news was that he said, "Whatever you are doing, keep doing it. Everything is in perfect shape"..so much for dentists saying you need to go to see them every 6 months for the rest of your life LOL..Anyway, using a Sonicaire is 100% worth every penny and flossing at least 5 times a week or more. Thats all I do. That sonicaire is kick ass.
My question is this: He said I need 2 fillings replaced that have fallen out. Molars, way in the back. Cant see them. He said he can use silver, which has Mercury in it, or Plastic, which has some plastic chemicals in it. I asked him about the Mercury in the silver fillings, he says "Oh about the same amount as in a can of tuna fish" Well, that sounds like a bullshit answer if ever there was one, like they teach them to say that at Dental Seminars, Im sure, but he did say the silver fillings have been proven safe and are better than the plastic. So what do I do? These fillings broke out years ago and Ive never had a problem with them. I have silver fillings and feel pretty damn healthy, but I know Mercury in the system is nothing to **** around with. Am I being overly paranoid?
Im sorry, but we live in a culture now where you cant trust anyone when it comes to consumer protection.
Should I say **** it and get the broken teeth fixed or just leave things as they are without any additional mercury in my mouth?
TIA for your dental opinions
