I will also add that with the exception of PHilipinos most Asians come from Buddistic cultures and Democrats don't seem to coopt Abrahamic religions for political purposes .....What's even more interesting is Asian Americans beside heavily inflitrating the basic sciences and engineering fields our presence in medicine is stronger than any minority group, and physicians are traditionally Republicans.... very interesting..

I'm a scientist, so I voted for him. Obama has shuffled more money into research and allowing embryonic research to be funded by federal monies like the N.I.H. In the short term my taxes went up 14 grand a year but I can afford it and I can still live comfortably ( of course I am very frugal and those who make my salary that can't afford this increase are a bunch of overspending morons). We chinese think long term. The underpinning of a strong economic foundation is good basic science research, mathmatics and engineering. Even though PPACA has many flaws, in the end, it helps a lot of our patients. It is why the ACP ( American College of Physicians), the AMerican Academy of Family Physicians, the AMerican pediatric Society and the AMA supported it. It's not just us "crazy" academic physicians....
