I am furious!!
So i am in the middle of making a purchase through a company. they have INHOUSE financing through the banks---so they get me a good rate 8.24% on the loan for the product.
The bank is one of our bigger branches, and very respected.
I get the contract dropped off today for 24 hours to revise it.
In it is a line with:
OPTIONAL INSURANCE: $3700.00
I call the guys right away and asked him WTF.
He tells me that this is insurance in case I default on the loan.
WHICH I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE SEEN THIS CHARGE BEFORE!!!
So I tell him that I have collateral, and that credit rating is perfect, that I would want that amount taken off.
He then tells me verbally that the amount would be paid off back to me at the end of the contract when all payments have been made.
So blah blah blah...we end the communication.
But after reading the contract from head to toe, NOWHERE on it, does HE mention in writing that "OPTIONAL INSURANCE" money will be returned to me when the full contract is fullfilled.
I have an option for him tomorrow! I have spoken to my car/motorcycle insurance about taking on the loan, and they are gladly looking to put on a proposal tomorrow.
What a bunch of crooks!!!!! Do these people think borrowers don't read contracts, JUST sign, or that we are idiots??
And when I met him today, he started chatting me about his nutrition habits, that he wanted to sit down with me to discuss a nutrition plan???? REALLY!?!?!?!? Stab me, then befriend me.
