  • Jealous significant other?

I always said my wife is not jealous. last night we went to a party and i met a girl who likes to camp and hike. We started sharing good spots and talking about gear. I mentioned that my son and I go but my wife hates camping and won't go.

OH HELL! My wife reacted as though this meant "may I please have oral sex right now"

We talked about camping, that's all. my wife says she was flirting but I am slow and i guess i missed it.

She was pretty and I did look at her boobs but this does not mean I am going to cheat! (come on if girls didn't want guys to look at their boobs then they wouldn't wear tight shirts and show large soft voluptuous amounts of cleavage, it wasn't a lecherous creepy gawk . more like admiring peek "What lovely breasts you have" ................see not creepy at all right?!)

anyway, how about you and your significant other?

Your wife may be having an "insecure moment". If she is usally not like that, i wouldn't worry. When people react that way, it is really an issue with themselves. It probably made her uneasy that some nice looking girl had the same intersets as you and she doesn't relate to that interest. Sometimes when couples are with each oether a lin time, they become lax on the attention, or conversations, they have with each other. then when they see you giving more attention to someone else, it may upset them. I would just reassure her and tell her you understand it upset her. It is important to validate each others feelings. tell her it really meant nothing to you, just conversation

that is a very astute point. add a little alcohol to increase emotional response and decrease logic and there we have it.

all was forgotten yesterday. like it never happened. i wont tell her the girl sent me a facebook friend thingy.

Glad it was forgotten, and no, the facebook thing would not be a good idea. I wouldn't even accept the request if I were you

I hate jealousy. It is guaranteed to ruin a relationship. On the other side of the coin is when someone TRIES to make the other one jealous. Sometimes they are blatantly obvious about it
Edit-Im not talking about some periodical jealousy, thats fine, but Im talking about day in and day out jealousy...If I was 15 minutes late, it had to be because I was banging some chick...I never gave her reasons for the jealousy...then later I found out that she was the one sneaking around LOL go figure

what pisses me off is when you not getting the attention you need and you let them know then they get pissed and be all insecure with you cause they know they aint doing their job and taking care of you. It's like how dare you think about another women when I know I'm not taking care of you and you are telling me that you need more attention lol. Here's a clue, start giving a shit!!

Ok, I cook, clean, do laundry, dishes, and all of that great stuff. She never has to take out trash or do anything that a man should be doing and I help her with all the house work. I don't mean wait on me hand and foot, cause I don't need that. But show your man some love. don't act like its and inconvenience to have sex and cuddle and shit. and then don't get pissed off when you know you aint giving it up and act jealous and stuff lol. Thats all i'm saying.

                      Re: Jealous significant other?

If your wife thinks this particular girl is hotter than her and you were giving lots of attention and checking out some boobs, she will of course be jealous. I think, however, a touch of jealousy can be good for a relationship. Your wife will think that her man is still coveted by the hot chicks and not take you for granted. As long as nothing is acted on, and she doesn't find out about the facebook request, it's all good. I play in a rock band and have attention from women when we play (especially the drunken cougars :-) After shows my wife is on my arm and giving me attention like when we were first dating...

this has been the best description of how an innocent non threatening glance went down. i literally choked on my eggs for breakfast after reading that.

heres how i deal with this situation. "look sweetie, as long as you stay in the same shape you are currently in there is no way i could even psychologically cheat on you."
