I sharpen a stick rub mud all over my face and go spear cats around the neighbor hood. Then I take them and use them for coyote bait. Then I shoot the coyotes and make boots with the fur.

i have no prob with shooting critters for food. but in many cases it's hard for me to call it hunting. sitting in a stand waiting for an animal to come to a feeder isnt really hunting. its just shooting an animal that walks up.

now if one shoots said deer for meat i have no moral objection to it. in fact i would love to come over for dinner.

^ i dont think that would even be fun putting out a feeder or traps for the animal. thats like putting chocolate syrup on the ground and waiting for ants to come and stepping on them its piontless. will probably be a while before i can hunt things are looking worse for me financially then i thought they would be so im a little worried right now

yeah. going out stalking wild hogs sounds cool and i always like dove quail hunting. my pop in law spends $thousands for his deer lease, gear, new guns, ect and he gets a couple deer every year. that is some damn expensive meat.

same here, lots of farmers will pay a bounty to kill hogs. some guys i know just pull the backstraps and the farmer buries the carcass. normally during the hotter months. hard to ice a 250# hog in 95 degree weather.

bolt action hunting rifles should really not go up in price as they are not effected by the ban.

^ good to know. and yea thats true about the ice things and the bolt action hunting rifle. I was things about grabbing a Remington 700. not sure what caliber though. also looking for a good shotgun. the reason while im holding off on the shotgun and rifle though is because i want to get some of the weapons on the ban list, i want a tactical ak47 not the heacy wood ones, an m4 style 223 ar-15, a long barreled 556 ar-15 for long range shooting and a mini 14 and some extended magazines and some drums and i want to try to get all this in before any ban. so im going to save getting anything thats not on the ban list till last.
