The White House has dismissed talk that Obama would rely on unusual measures to raise the nation's debt limit without Congress' approval, but administration officials also have warned that the country could default on its debt and trigger a new economic crisis if lawmakers don't increase the limit on borrowing.

lol i feel like this is a game to politicians. i mean theres going to be one day where increasing the debt is going to be unachievable and pointless causing an unavoidable default, so lets just get it over with now.

When Bush took office there was a $5.7 trillion debt. By the time he left it was $10.6 trillion 8 years later. Obama has it now up to $16.+ in just 4 years. So that means that Obama has spent more in 4 years already than Bush did in 8.
