I went to the doctor today and she said I had a hurnia and needed to have surgery. Has anyone had this and how long was you down? Just redid membership to gym yesterday and now she sais don't lift over 10 pounds.

It all depends how they do the surgery bro. I've had both hernia's done.
The last one, they used a teflon sheet. Couldn't even walk when the surgery was over! Most pain I've experienced in my life. You could be in bed for about 3 or 4 days. I was in bed longer. Recovery will take some time.

I am only 26. I dont even know how it happened. I remember feeling a burn but don't remember what I was doing. I showed my wife the lump and she made me go to the doc today. they said it has'nt went to my testicles yet. So I guess thats good.

Good luck with surgery. I've heard recovery can be quite painful, but thats nothing that some good painkillers can't handle. Take it easy!

I had a hernia in the military. It was so minor I didn't even know I had it til I got my discharge physical. Since I didn't enter the service with it I didn't have to leave with it. Took me outta the game for months.
Let me tell ya the pain is terrible, walked around for a month bent in half. I have a hole in my wall from my fist, got up to piss one day and it hurt like a mofo.
