    Coming out of the Christmas holiday, officials on both sides of the aisle are voicing hope that the pressure of a Jan. 1 deadline will at last yield an agreement on the looming fiscal crisis. But few are spelling out exactly how that might happen.

    Yep, they should cut off all foreign aid. Rand Paul had a vote to merely cut foreign aid to countries with dictators and it got beat by about 91-9. That is more proof that both parties are corrupt and don't want to fix anything.
