It pays to increase your vocabulary!

There was a study one time, I think it was harvard grads, and they tested them on vocabulary when they graduated,then twenty years later revisited the grads and income level was directly related to their vocabulary scores. Just knowing the definition of a lot of words helps you understand things you read, communicate easier, etc etc...

Its important to keep adding words to your brain all the time. For kids, it is important to expand their vocabulary as much as possible as early as possible. Just having a big vocabulary alone will almost guarantee success in school. They say as you age, your vocabulary can start to shrink if you dont do vocab building.
So I was thinking I will start a thread and add a couple words a day here from different places. Places like "The 1,000 words everyone should know" etc...

I have a high vocabulary when I need to use it, but I try not to really impress..it is boring and lame, lol Since i dont have to answer to anyone, if someone thinks i am stupid then i have the advantage haha! Please dont remember this..I am stupid.

I can do with numbers what these fancy Harvard grads can do with words.
Einstein was dyslexic and probably had an odd case of autism.
I see numbers everywhere. You car tires have an aspect ratio. Tiles in your home are normally a 12"x12". I then can mentally calculate your square footage.
I don't use my phone book in my cell phone, I have a slight photographic memory.
I figure sale prices on items in seconds. 65% off sale price after taking 20% off.
Car dealerships hate me
I refuse to buy the larger ketchup when the two smaller are a better value.
