Was no one else impacted? just now i have some time to check in.....
Here in NJ where the storm hit land, we got clobbered. This storm was scary strong in that it completely cleared ocean side boardwalks, home for blocks and left a foot of sand 5 blocks in. Living in northern NJ, I have not had power since Monday and they are not expecting restored for 7-10 days. Under a state of emergency and everything was closed and most places still are. after storm Irene, i purchased a generator and had a transfer switch put in. Have power to everything in house however very difficlut to get gas for it. Town malls, gas stations, lights are all without power. Halloween is postponed till this weekend and kids are out of school all week.
