Im afraid if I had cable or satellite I might end up watching too much TV. Then I wouldnt be on the board as much.

i was just about to switch from cable to Direct TV. Feally fed up with cablevision and them nickle and diming me every year. Mostly, though i wanted the NFL network which cablevision did not have. Problem here is that i have no other supplier of cable, except to go satelite and no other supplier of internet. So last Fri i called cablevision to possibly disconnect. Get on the phone and of course you have an automated service. they provided a list of options, one of which was to disconnect my service. on three occassions and after selecting disconnect service......those sly bastards hung up on me. yep, just another ploy to keep you connected. finally and through different means i got through to customer service. told when what i wanted to do and about the NFL network. just so happens the night before my call, cablevision and NFL network came to agreement. Now i have it. In further negotiating even after the NFL network, they gave me a two year intro price which cut my bill $30 bucks/month. so i'm staying put for now

Thanks guys, I'll be looking around at satellite providers then. They better have a channel dedicated to the Pittsburgh Steelers is all I'm saying!!!

we had direct...awsome customer service, rarely ever had a prob with reception..... but their internet service was INSANE!!! so i had to jump to cable to afford it.....welp, that shyt goes out when the wind blows!! customer service is a frikin joke.... i was looking at going back, but for our area they still dont have a good internet provider!!

I got cable/internet for $47 a month. Never tried satelite tho so I dunno.
