    People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has started taking "bets" on its website over when Sen. Charles Grassley will die, after the Iowa Republican scolded the Department of Agriculture for advocating a vegetarian diet.

    These PETA people need to pick up the clue phone and stop being complete idiots. They make all animal rights supporters look bad.

        That's part of there methodology. They love when people think they are nuts. They think the average American is nuts and they feel like when in rome... It's like a negotiation for them they overdue the shock factor in hopes that it makes people think. I agree in principal that we do not treat animals with the compassion they deserve. And I also believ the average American needs to be shown something really visceral to get there attention. They are a little too hardcore but I believe there cause is noble.

        I have gone out of my way to ensure all the protein animal products are humanly raised and cared for. With as much as I eat I Ned to keep my conscience as clean as possible.
