Turns out GSK was giving Doctors trips to Hawaii and front row tickets at Madonna concerts for prescribing their crappy drugs. I have talked to Doctors who used to get season tickets to NFL games for prescribing certain drugs. This shit needs to be stopped.

Hummm, and there is no need in health care reform? These are just a few things to come to light in the health care industry. Not knocking my buddy but he has a very well paid job in the medical field. Car paid for, trips to the beach paid for, food and you name it all paid for. The instruments he sells are so expensive that normal middle class couldn't afford them without insurance. Glad they got caught and have to pay up... Hope more of them get caught... Hope they also announce the doctors that was part of this.

Ya, if someone right out of college really wants to hit the jackpot fast, just get into pharmaceutical sales. I mean, of course, some drugs are needed, but this is mostly about marketing and making money and to hell with the patient. Thats what it has become. The richest dude in my graduating class is not the doctors, dentists surgeons, or lawyers or bankers, its a guy who went to work selling pharma right out of college.

Now the drug reps are supposedly limited to doing a "luncheon" for the doctor and his staff, like once a week or something. Some doctors have real fancy dining rooms just for these occasions of bribery.
Its a glamorized form of drug pushing, especially with drugs that have not been properly tested. Im not slamming all drug reps, Just the dirty ones.

Another thing they need to get rid of is the freaking methadone clinics. So it's ok to get them off meth and onto this other deadly drug. My dad died due to the use of methadone. Just drug pushers named doctors. Pisses me off. My dad wasn't on Meth but had bad pain due to his work and the use of methadone caused him to take his life. Our government is behind big pharma and these drug pushing doctors. You know what I have had 5 major surgeries. You know within 3 days to a week I was off the pain meds. Yeah I hurt a little but I hated the way they made me feel. And our country thinks weed is bad.... Wake up america...

There was this really hot chick working behind the counter at this doctors office I used to take a family member. I was about to call her and ask her for a date. I was hiking up my courage man. Then I found out she was getting married to the drug salesman who was going in there giving her free stuff all the time. Oh well, we all became friends.
