While walking through the wood one day,
I stumbled onto a ruin.
I saw a tanned man standing there,
But I didnt know what he was doin.
He gave me a shovel and said "Start to dig",
So I dug with all my might.
"He looks like greed himself" I said
As I dug into the night.
I asked "What do you seek my friend?"
And he told me hard and cold,
"Look!" he said, "Under your shovel lad!"
And I glanced at the glitter of gold.
This was good enough to get me a B- for the assignment in junior high english. And I also cannot seem to forget it. Like a stupid jingle.
