2011 saw the ushering in of a more refined, performance-minded and greenera of motoring. It was a year that saw manufacturers break out of their boxes,offering buyers everything from the ultimate in tire-melting performance to vehicles thatdon’t require a drop of gas. Say what you will about the trends of increasing weightand electronic nannies or what have you, but given the current crop of cars on the market,it’s hard to envision a better time to be an auto enthusiast.We werefortunate enough to spend the year sampling the latest and greatest vehicles, and wewalked away impressed by more than a few.
