    Truck price opinions

    I am looking at a 2006 Chevy Crew Cab Z71. I did a carfax and it is a straight truck with no issues. It has 126000 miles and the LS package. The dealer wanted 15500 for it and I have them talked down to 14500 and can probably get another 500 out of them. I originally offered 13500 and they said they can't sell it for that.


    What do you guys think? It's in very good condition. Is it worth that? I know average wholesale is 12800, but they're obviously not going to sell it for that. Any dealers in here that can shoot me straight?

    its hard to say without more info. Have you gone to the Edmunds, NADA, etc for an unbiased opinion on the value?

      Yeah and it was pretty close to the asking price of 15500. I guess it's just a matter of opinion. It's in really good shape.

      I may just hold off, save me a good down payment, and buy new.

        THATS ONE THING...TRUCKS HOLD THEIR PRICES. I DROVE 8 HOURS NORTH AND BOUGHT A 2005 CHEVY SILVERADO FOR $8000 THAT THEY WANTED $16000 FOR HERE IN TOWN. THE DEALS ARE OUT THERE IF YOU KEEP LOOKING!

          Maybe that's the problem. Maybe I should broaden my search. What did you use to find your truck? They seem to be high around here. I don't want a northern truck though.....all the snow and salt leads to too much rust for me.
