What sites are there to look for pit pups besides next day pets (who's search function you only get if you pay). I wanna look for a female between 6-10 weeks. If I look at breeders they want stupid money for a dog since they are some special breed. I just want a pure bred puppy not looking to breed and I dont want a mix or a shelter dog.

Re: pit bull pups
I know you said you don't want a shelter pup, but I would consider it
Shelters are full of pits, it's a shame that owners just abandon their animals.
I volunteer at a local shelter, so I am biased, but there are lots of great dogs there that need a home...

Re: pit bull pups
great. choice in breed allup. im a big fan of the original pit bull (staffordshire bull terriors), they are a little smaller so great for city living. imho the pit bull family ( am staff, staffies, whichever) are bar none, the best breeds on the planet - if u raise them right. i wouldnt go the shelter route tho bc u never know the history of the parents ( they could have a nasty temperment and pass that on to their pups). a good breeder knows this and makes the effort to breed bad tempermants out. pit bulls in particular are susceptible to ill willed breeders so u have to be careful.

I have no issue with shelter dogs my other dog (mutt) was just a stray I found on vacation. I dont want a pitbull from the shelter tho jut bc I don't know what he's been through. I got a mastiff/Pit mix a year ago from the shelter. he was one of the worst animals behavior wise ud ever meet. beautiful dog but he bit everyone, destroyed my house, fought with my other dog, etc. I ended up giving him to another guy who had other pits and he is supposedly not that bad now since he plays with the other dogs all day. now maybe that's just a rare thing but I don't wanna risk that again. I want a puppy that I raise from the start. I actually found one on next day pets today. I'm going to buy her tommorow.
