A lot of you have been discussing hair loss lately here which first off is very cool that as guys this board seems to be able to talk openly and honestly.

Secondly, my question is for those of you who have tried proscar/********/finadasteride (sp?)...

I'm 34 and I have some crazy thick hair but I've started to recede up front the past couple years and it drives me nuts. It isn't bad by any means but looking to stop it!

    Re: ********

It is genetic, so you cant "stop it" ******** (Finasteride) can help in getting some growth back, but from what i have read and guys ive talked to say that it isnt nearly enough to be the same as the hair that hadnt receded. There is a surgery you can get, but it for you may be too early, if you just started receding. Also, if you are squeamish about having surgery, but it really isnt radial and it is done alot. It is called forehead/scalp advancement. It is a surgery where they make an incision right below the hairline and pull the whole scalp forward, cut away the access skin, then sucher it...Leaves no noticeable scar aft about a 8 months to a year. If you use any of the products you are talking about..it may help a bit, but not a great difference.
