Who's got one? I just purchased one and already making some changes. Installed Edelbrock Shorty Headers, Flowmaster 40's with all new 3" X pipes from flowmaster. Windows was tinted with new Crystaline 3M 98% IR heat blocking film. It is actually 35% legal tint but the film directs the light beams out so it looks darker than 20 but it's legal. The front window is also tinted with the same stuff which isn't legal but I hope I have made good friends with the local police officers, lol. Now I am looking at installing a cold air intake? What is the best brand to use? Anyone install a cam in this new of a car? 500 miles on it now and I had it laying in pieces already, lol. Got to love it.

Have it programmed. They are VERY restricted from the factory and tuning the car will open it up A LOT!! I used to program cars but I got tired of the responsibility so I sold the stuff to a friend and showed him what to do. LS motors are great. i went with shortys on my GTO too and was disappointed at the performance. i put on JBA midpipes that delete the cats and WOW! that woke it up. then like tn94z said get it tuned and a K&N filter.
shorty headers wont mess with the warranty but deleting the cats might.

I will post some pics later. The shorty headers and full flowmaster exhaust woke it up. I am sure a tune would be great. I was thinking about seeing if the dealership would do a tune for the new stuff. Cold air intake is next.Comment

Well I could just buy another computer and keep the stock one to put back in if I needed to. Right now Inamorata doing bolt ons until I get ready to do a tune for all of them. I am familiar with tuning these engines. I had a 6.0 in my buggy that I built from the ground up. I put a cam in it but there was no warranty to worry about.Comment

you can get a handheld tuner with a canned tune for under $300. should pick it up a bit. ditching the cats is worth 20hp where as shorties and cat back maybe 5-8hp.Originally posted by BICEPBULG View Post

I have had it nearly a month and loving it. Waxed it and washed it more than any of my others. So after reading some stuff on the web if the dealer fills the tank up they put cheap gas in it. I have only ran 92 or 93. So these cars has 2 fuel tables and once it has low grade it never goes back until you pull the ECU/Computer fuses so it drains the power down. Then it resets to the high grade. I did this and that alone woke it up. Shorties doesn't void warranties but long or mid pipes will cause you have to move the cats to a new location or remove them all together. So at 36,000 miles it's getting a cam maybe a supercharger as well. For now I will purchase a tuner, install a cold air intake to go along with the header and exhaust I just done. Also change the throttle body and a few other small things to gain a little more HP.Comment
