OH man, cold calling on businesses would have to be the most brutal way on earth to make a living. You would have to be tough and have no problem with rejection.
I have NO SOLICITORS sign on my door, and I swear, I think some salesmen think "Oh, he put that sign on his door because he cant say no to anyone! Lets go on in!!!" LOL
Thi s girl I know sent me a job description of a job she is trying to get and it said you have to make 40 business to business cold calls per day IN PERSON! Selling american express business services.. OMG. Brutal.

tuf way to make a living for sure!! but if you aree sucessful in it, it usually pays pretty good

I receive several cold calls a day. Very dreadful when i pick up and hear the person on the other line start a pitch. Then again, i try to be as polite as possible because it is a way people do earn a living. I'll be respectful to those folks as opposed to the lazy bums who continue to collect unemployment without giving some sort of effort.
