  • Where to find a Jeep?

Where is the best place to look to find a used Jeep? I am looking for something that I can take the top off and ride and has a descent set of wheels/tires on it. Nothing new....but on the nicer side. Also, any suggestions on what not ot get and what to stay away from? Certain motors, years, etc....

Craigslist doesn't have squat in my area. I was thinking more like some reputable jeep forums or something.

Can't go wrong with the 4.0l straight 6. Motors practically bulletproof. This inline 6's have a huge reputation of being awesome motors

any Jeep with a 4cyl. SUCKS! period! The 4.0l is/ has been the most reliable enginge produced by Jeep. You pick your poison, just make sure it has a 4.0 in it and you should be good to go. I am actually fixing to purchase a Jeep Limited from a friend that has the 4.0l, otherwise i wouldn't buy it. pluse they are not that bad on gas either.

Not yet. I will for sure give them a look when I get ready. Just seeing what the average price is for them at the moment

Re: Where to find a Jeep?

Yep..Autotrader or Cars.com Id take a look at dealerships too, because you get at least a halfway decent warranty or can deal on one when you are looking..Dont know how many miles you would take on a used on, but I know a demo on a slightly used one would save you thousands than buying new. If you buy thru someone off the street, it will be an "AS IS" and you would be kinda out of luck if something were to happen, unless it was still under warranty.
