  • my brother bought.....

a Beretta compact PX storm 9mm

he almost got the Springfield XD but settled on the Beretta.

we went to my father in laws property and shot a couple of mags. its grown up a bit and we couldn't go crazy.

the recoil is noticeably less than any other 9mm i have shot. i could stay on target much better in semi rapid fire than i could with his glock17,

i like it. good ergos, nice size (although it is a bit wide of CC, but i like mouse guns for that)

shoots like a laser beam. factory sights are adequate, he will change them for tritium aftermarket ones.

now i have pistol fever dammit

I have always loved the look of that gun and planned to buy one. However, at a local gun show I held one in my hand and couldn't get past the wide grip. I'm just glad I didn't order one online beforehand. Other than that I bet it is an awesome 9mm to own.

the sub compact is a single stack mag if i am not mistaken. and as a sub compact with 9mm and low recoil it may be my first choice if i decide to carry something bigger than my mouse .380 when i get my license

I went to their site and it appears they all have the same grip width. Not too sure how well that would conceal.

look at the tech data. there are 2 diff mag capacity's for 9mm. i think the lower one is the single stack.

          i could be wrong.

I read something about the single stack but one reviewer claimed to own it and love it but said it is a bit too thick to carry. I'd check them out in person if I were you before buying one. All I know is that the one I held was way too wide for me, and I'm 6'-2" with fairly large hands.

i am an average guy at 6' and it feels great to me, not much diff from the old double stack glock .40 i had. actually has better ergos than the glock. i would not carry it but my brother always wears a suit and can get away with a fatter pistol.

I think I got spoiled with my Ruger LCP .380 for size, and Springfield XDM for comfort. I think you'll be fine with the PX4 though if it feels good to you. If you like Sig you might want to check out Buds. They have the 9mm 3.86" and .40 for $369 double action and $399 single/double action, plus free shipping and no tax of course. That's a deal I might not pass up either.
