5 of us went shooting yesterday morning. we set out steel targets from 15' to 50 yards.
i had my .22 rifle and revolver. and my CC .380 pistol i wanted more practice with.
also brought my AR15.
my Son is getting better every time we go!
i had the opportunity to shoot everybody else's guns.
9mm springfield XDM, S&W 9mm, glock 26 9mm sub compact, taurus .40, springfield 1911 .45, kimber .45, sig .380, bersa thunder .380 and a black widow .22 mag mini revolver, walther p22.
also i shot 3 different AR15s my CMMG no scope, a stag arms with a aim point scope, and a DPMS with a bushnell cheapo scope.
the aimpoint was awesome. i think my CMMG was the best made AR and my jewel trigger was definitely the best.
also shot several .22 rifles ruger 10-22s, savage, S&W
shot a .357 lever gun and a 9mm carbine.
what a blast
we set full coke cans at 30 paces and pitched $5 each to who ever could hit it with a pistol. we took turns shooting. i used my trusty .22 revolver. my son used the walther. i hit it on my second shot. we did it again and i won again.
they told me a long barrel .22 is not fair so the 3rd time i used the XDm and my first shot i tagged it.
$75 in my pocket fellows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i lost a little in the left handed .45 challenge. 6 shots each at a 9"X9" target at 5 yards. guy who hits the most wins every body else pays him the difference between how many he hit and how many they hit. $1 for each missed shot
did not know it but one of the guys was ambidextrous and shot 6 each time. i got 2 both times. i am surprised i got anything as bad as my left arm shook. my Son did not take part as a little 80# kid holding a .45 with one hand was sketchy. better safe than sorry.
what a great time to spend the day with some 2 desert storm vets and a viet nam vet, all friends and my Son.
