I never cease to be amazed at the Apps created on the Adroid and Apple Markets. I downloaded one last night for Cox Cable that lets you record movies and shows via DVR from the phone. Is that cool or what. Anyone with Cox and a DVR should try it out. Also, if anyone has DLNA on their phones and hasn't used it or doesn't know what it's for you should try it sometime. It permits you to copy music, movies, and other files from your computer to your phone via wireless connection as long as the computer is on and you have loaded it to your DLNA.

Re: Smart Phone Apps
Sounds awesome. You sound like you know what youre doing with that phone. I have a Droid X and am probably using about 5% of what its capable of. I do like it for watching the NFL network while in line at the bank..LOLOriginally posted by JsJs24 View PostI never cease to be amazed at the Apps created on the Adroid and Apple Markets. Re: Smart Phone Apps
i just like using the cricket app whenever i am with a group of people and that uncomfortable silence appears out of nowhere. The 4.3 screen on the Droid X is also very handy, I can't see worth a flip! i always get cracked on about how big the phone is too, I think it's great! We should start a thread for useful app's for the smart phone."To gain strength on the outside it takes a greater strength within!"
I'm not trying to be better than anyone, I am just trying to be better than who I was yesterday.

Re: Smart Phone Apps
I work with very high tech equipment for a living so the phone helps a lot. In your case, if you don't know about all the tech stuff you could still enjoy some of those features with ease. If you have movies on your phone and have a tv with hdmi inputs then you could connect your phone to your tv and watch via hdmi. Also, if your tv has DLNA you could stream movies from your phone via wireless. And you probably know about tethering. Mine is rooted so I use a superuser tether app which works exceptionally well. These are some of the easier to use features on your phone but it can do so much more too.Originally posted by Dzone View PostSounds awesome. You sound like you know what youre doing with that phone. Re: Smart Phone Apps
They are amazing. I just got another replacement yesterday. #6 for this phone. The 1st 5 were for broken glass. (dropped on the face) shattered. This last one was the phone charging port though.
Being they are basically pocket PCs. I can't waity til they offer one of the top Droid/Linux OS phones with a flip up screen. So it wouold be made just like a latop. But still pocket size.
On the apps. They never cease to amaze me. Give the Power Amp sound app a try. Then when someone is jamming their phone. Play a song with yours, & watchg the person's face,( WTF!), when you completely drouned their tunes out & fill the room with some pretty darn crisp, clear sound. It's badasss. It gives you a 10band EQ to adjust & set each song or movie to. Different genres require different settings, ya know...it's pretty cool.

Re: Smart Phone Apps
Type "Free Movie Downloads" in the app search and you will find plenty. Also, you might want to pay for one if it has better reviews and is worth it to you. I hear Netflix is coming and considering it's already on the Apple market I would bet it will be on Droid soon too. I have the Free Music Download app and it works great and has everything I've looked for. Apple does not offer anything like this for free but Droid has plenty of them. You can even copy them to your computer and burn them from what I'm told, but I haven't tried it yet.Originally posted by skinnyman View Posti have the Droid Thundebolt and have loaded a few apps from the market. i'll read some of the reviews first to make sure they are decent. i've yet to find a decent app that i can download and watch movies. As for finding apps, just search for anything your mind can possibly think of and chances are there is something for it.Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master. George Washington

Re: Smart Phone Apps
You must not have a case or screen protector. How could you break that many screens? I have dropped my Droid on the pavement at least 30 times or more and never even a scratch. I buy the cheap screen protectors and cases from Amazon and no problems ever. I pay anywhere from 74 cents to $1.80 for my screens and $5 to $10 for my cases. Also, I paid around $3.80 for my Motorola car charger on there.Originally posted by horsepwr View PostThey are amazing. I just got another replacement yesterday. #6 for this phone. Amazon and Ebay are your friend when it comes to buying cheap accessories for your phone. I found the Otter Box to be the most superior phone protection so far."To gain strength on the outside it takes a greater strength within!"
