I think all this phones to kids crap is out of control! I didn't get a cell phone until I was in my 20's! I was guarding a guy the other day and the dum**** client gave his 7 year old spoiled rotten brat a brand spanking new iphone 4! Are you kidding me!
My pre teen step daughter has a phone her dad gave her for Christmas, she's 11. I still felt she was to young but so far it has been ok. She's been trustworthy with it and really doesn't like the responsibility of having it but now she's stuck with it! LOL!
If I had to pick an age it would be 12. The phone would be limited on what numbers it could dial and texts that could be sent or received.
