I do not condone the use of, nor do I use anabolic or androgenic steroids. My participation on these boards is for informational purposes only. I have done extensive research of AAS and enjoy discussing them for role playing enjoyment.
That summed it up very well. My complaints are similar. Too many scenes in too short of time.

it is always best to read the book after seeing the movie! since you already loved it and had the story line the movie never had a chance for you!
Not necessarily. I read 1984 before watching the movie and found the movie to be as good as the book, which was excellent. Atlas is okay but it was too rushed, which shows by the number of scenes in it.

I agree. I bought the book, but only read the first 50 pages and decided to wait until I saw the movie. IMO, the movie is FANTASTIC!!!!!!WOW!!!! I can understand your point of view Jsjs, but for someone who hasnt read the book, it was mesmerizing. There was never a dull moment. . I loved Taylor Schilling as Dagny Taggert. She made the movie. Damn she is so beautiful and talented. The movie was easy to follow and holds your interest from start to finish. The ending makes you want to see part 2! It is germane to what is happening in the country today. It is set in 2016 America and gas is at $37.50 a gallon. I felt the movie had a very strong message and Part 2 cant get here soon enough. People need to see this movie!
Seeing the movie I think will help when I read the rest of the book.
The scenery of Colorado is utterly breathtaking. I was glad that they showed a lot of Colorado. Most of those scenes are minutes from where I live. The Wyett Train Depot is about 10 minutes away and I have gone to many parties in that historic building. Even the steel mill scenes were filmed at a factory where my dad worked for 45 years.
Lillian Reardon was a bad pick. She was ugly and a hag. They could have found anyone better than her.

Wow, you are going to be really impressed by the book then because the movie doesn't come close. You'll see what I mean if you actually finish the book. But if you don't then you will know have any idea of what Ayn Rand's philosophy is, since the movie didn't comer it. Hope you read it. Also, glad you liked the movie.
