  • 9 sec car or quicker

I know this is a long shot, but I'm lookin to get back into drag racing. I'm looking all over so figure I'd post up here too. Car needs to be in the single digits. Willing to travel whereever for the right deal, but I only buy toys at cheap prices so I dont lose cash when I sell. So if any of your buddys need there car gone asap Cash in hand.

are u trying to get this car just in time to go see "Fast 5"? Or, are you in fact Paul Walker still trying to find a 9 sec car to replace the one of Vin Diesels that you destroyed in the first movie?

They are a little higher. But they are also faster to begin with. I had a 98z full options including leather with only a converter and exhaust that ran 7.20s in the 1/8.
I thought you were looking for turnkey. 7500?? I've seen nice rollers with suspension and cage for 2500 on there. You just have to be patient. I bought a 98ta cam only that ran 6.80s in the 1/8 pulling the wheels knee high for 8.

Anything in particular you looking for? I'll keep my eyes open. We are big inti racing around here

If it were sex, I would have the 9 second car beat by 2 seconds, easily.

In a perfect world Id get a mustang w/ 8.50 cert BBF on the bottle. However for the right price I'll take any chevy or ford. Just not a mopar guy. I've seen some pretty sweet deals come up but they were all X275 cars, 10.5 cars, outlaw radial, TT5 type cars which I cant afford.

an old $1500 LT camaro with a built 408 cube LS-1, turbo 350 trans and 4500 stall, and 4.24 gears with a fat shot of spray and some rear suspension and driveline mods. (rollcage, driveshaft loop and other required safety stuff too and slicks)

thats the recipe my uncle took. 9.5-9.6 all day long, he was looking for a 10.x bracket car. he still runs the 10.5" tire bracket class so he runs a throttle stop. car is super consistant

but for the $$$ hard to beat a turbo fox body.

Oh yeah. I had a 98TA cam only, TH350 with a stall that would pull the wheels knee high and ran 6.80s in the 1/8 all night. LS1's are hard to beat for potential. With all of the pull out LS1s around now, they are really not that bad. The thing about them is you don't have to go big cubes to get it done. A friend in knoxville was running a 346 with a D1SC and got it in the 8s in the 1/4.
