If you are having trouble staying logged in when navigating between forums/topics/etc., you need to reset your session cookie. Go into your browser and delete any cookie for the site them log back in. This should fix the login issue.
When traveling for vacation, work, etc how do you connect or don't you? Some places have wireless connections and others don't. For me, I always need to be connected to some extent. For places that do not have connectivity, I have "tethering" through my blackberry.
I use tether on my Droid. Verizon has unlimited data plans so it costs me nothing. The app is free too so I don't pay for hotspot. Works awesome too!
