I didn't care in my younger days. But for a good while now, I kinda think, 'dude...can't ya find a better spot, or adopt better shot placement?'. What happened to a spit-cup? I still see 'em. Or shoot it where folks ain't stepping. Children touch the soles of shoes.
I'm a germophobe though too. That disgusts the hell outta me. Someone handling the bottom of their shoes. They walk in public places, stand at urinals, etc...sick! walk thru spit, as reason for thread. Kinda have to cope with it, walking in public outdoors. Gonna have bodily fluids on the ground. nasty.
I gotta go wash my hands just thinkin about it.1 up

I would just mark it down as "par for the course." Manners are a lost art anymore. I mean if the person was choking to death and had to hawk up on the spot, OK. But otherwise, is it so hard to do it in a more unaccessable spot than right on the sidewalk?UComment

Something that always gets me, is when a 'friend' or 'co-worker' spits on my driveway or yard. I almost get offended. and I'm not easily offended. That kinda strikes a nerve with me tho. It's like they just have shit for manners. & brains. They need 'em rattled around for that bs, i kinda feel like. spittin on somone's lawn. That has a family. wtf is that??? disrespectful bullshit. spittin everywhere. I even got misted being down wind the other day. I said somethin then. That dude knows how I am too. He's too damn stupid to understand 'a man's downwind' likely. obviously. or he wouldn't have done that shit.1 up

If I spit somewhere it's because I'm sick with drainage going into my throat and I have to get that crap out. I don't spit just to spit like you see a lot of people.Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups

Some people are chronic spitters. The pulll into the parking lot, step out and spit, they walk to the store spitting the whole way. Right before they enter a door, they spit on the sidewalk. Now that's what I call class.Comment

I am not a big spitter either. I'm with bowbow here, I only do it if I have to. I agree that you should find a little better location than on a sidewalk......
maybe find a putting green and let it go there....
