    This is a great board!!

    I am a member of many boards, as all of you guys are too, and on most of the other boards there are always the top guys that know it all (not being smart, they really know what they are talking about) but they are so arrogant by the way the respond that it has turned many of my friends off from message boards. Newbies to boards are just that, newbies. On these other boards, it seems that if a newbie asks a question that is nothing hard (but he doesn't know or he wouldn't ask) he just gets bashed for it. I understand that one should search and read as much as possible and then ask questions, but it may be someone that doesn't use message boards much or may have just searched using the wrong criteria. What I am getting to is that these boards just seem so impersonal and while they are full of great information, they lack a lot of character, IMO.

    All of this leads me to my point. This board is not like that. This board has all of the information, all of the same guys that know what they are doing, and it also has the character. You don't get the bashing around here and the feeling of being stupid or anything. That is great! You are free to ask any question you want and don't have to worry about being belittled by anyone. And it's a closer knit group as well....anyone on here will do all they can to help any other member at the drop of a hat. Now that is the way a board should be.

    All this may be corny or whatever, but I just wanted to give Fitnessgeared some props...by far my favorite board!

    AGREED! THE MEMBERS MAKE IT WHAT IT IS! ..NOT TO MENTION THAT FUZZY GUY!

      Thanks tnz, for the wonderful compliment!! Yes, we do have a great board here with many good people. With everyone combined, we have an abundance of knowledge, advice, and compassion! We appreciate your your contributions, as well!

        Truth be said and as you mentioned above it is so important that, at a minimum, some research be done before posting. Even though there are "no stupid questions", consideration needs to be given for those who respond day in and day out without hesitation and gripe.

          this is the truth and why this is one of the few boards i visit anymore and the only fitness board that i really take a part in and do a fair amount of posting at.

                Yep, I've been on this board since 2003 and I tried a few others for a couple years too. I felt the others just weren't as fun to hang around on and ditched them all. FG is the only fitness board I use anymore.

                      agreed...this was my first board and has always been my fav. we have the best group of people around...from "newbies" to VETS, all the members seem like geniuon good peeps!!

                        Couldn't agree more, this is a great place, with a great staff and owner!! but the members are what make the board work and feel homey!! SO, Thank you guys!!
