Too many people are concerned with whether or not he was born in Hawaii, yet that is not what should prevent him from being eligible to serve as President. The fact that his father was born in Kenya is what should disqualify him, at least, according to a couple of the founding fathers' letters to one another in regard to natural citizenship. I will post the letter if I can find it again, but I believe it was written from Jefferson to Madison discussing what constitutes a natural born citizen. In it, he wrote, in order to be a natural born citizen one must have both parents born in the U.S. so there is no concern for which country the child's allegiance will be to (paraphrasing of course). This makes perfect since, because if a person has one parent from another country then they may have been raised to hold allegiance to the foreign country over the U.S., which is obviously the case we have at present.Originally posted by O2BESOHUGE View Post
