    Wide grip with decent form around 25 or so maybe a few more.

      20 with perfect form maybe. havent done pullups in years but i am lean and still have decent upper body strength.

          I practically live on a pullup bar...have one on my back porch with dip bars too. There are 2 parks close by with pullup and dipping bars...one park has steel rings on heavy chains that I do pullups on...I can always do a lot more pullups and dips when I am lean

            Well define pullup. I do pull ups as the main part of my lat routine as Honestly - all the best backs in the history of body building do pullups. What is more impressive- a 200 pound man doin 200 pound pulldowns at the lat machine? or a 200 pound man doin pullups/chins with 200 pounds tied to his waste?? For the guy who said he hasnt seen a chin up bar since he was a kid? I mean do you not go to a gym? This is a bodybuilding fitness board, you realize this ??You must go to planet fitness if you dont have chin station. I guess it depends on yor definition of a pull up. Im the 45 year old jacked bastard with the 200 pound plates tied to his waiste repping out in the corner quietly- yes no need to scream either. I can do close grip the same way I include 2 variations in every lat workout. So to answer how many? I could go non stop for a long time all the way down and up until I cramp. I could go for longer if its just to bob my head over and under like some weirdos do at my gym and think they actually work out LMAO

              ^yes, absolutely! Chins, pullups, parallel bar pullups..I love them all..and I laugh when someone tells me they do lat pulldowns instead of pullups..LOL...it is NOT even the same

                I'm not sure what I could do in a single set to failure. I usually superset chins/pullups with my pressing movements (twice per week) doing 5 sets of 10 or if I'm feeling ballsy I strap on some weight and do 5 sets of 5-8 depending on the weight.

                  i just do pulldowns....its the exact same
















                  (seriously...i dont know how many...depends as a begining or after back w/o...4sets and usually 15 down to 9 or 10. 90seca between sets)

                    Hey if you are after better back development. Pulldowns and pull ups ar most definately NOT the same exercise- different stabilizer muscles etc etc. People that think they are and omit pull ups or chins Miss out HUGE on back dvelopment - FACT - Not opnion.....................
