    Money! The LSX block in itself is expensive, not to mention the parts to build it. If I could do that, I would be ALL over it!! If I went that route, to be honest, I would get back into a car. They just work better and are more aerodynamic.

    I'm not even sure I would want to go with a 6.0 just because the added weight on the front of the s10. I need as much weight back as possible. Ideally, I would go with an aluminum blocked something.....we will see. It's all just in my head at the moment!! The more videos and reading I do, the more I think my goals would be much more easily reached with the use of a Mustang.

      yeah agree. a mustang is light and more aero than a s10. but the 6.0 weights marginally more than the 5.3. cubic inches are worth the added 60#

        Yeah, they don't weigh that much more. It really just depends on what kind of money I have at that point. I think it will take more than a 5.3 to get the truck in the 5s anyway

            i bought all my parts used. cuts the price in half or better. (except NOS solenoids and electronics)
