What's a dumb ole surfer dude supposed to do about an iced over windshield? no ice scraper. no hose(it'll probably break-the hose)

Don t use water. Use a credit card to scrape it. Hopefully its not too frozen for that. They probably dont sell windshield scrappers in FL

Let the car run for about 10 minutes or so, and make sure the front defrost is on. You probably rarely use that, lol! It will either mel it all or make it easier for you to scrape off.Veritas Vos LiberabitComment

dude...warm up your car for 5mins before you go to leave...most cars, even down south, have a "defrost" setting...thats what this setting is for..."DEFORSTING" the ice off your window....good luck with it!! (a credit card does work...but i mean...you know...c'mon..."defrost"? it really is that easy)HE WHO MAKES A BEAST OF HIMSELF, GET'S RID OF THE PAIN OF BEING A MAN!!

yeah. The defrost is something else.lol...I wasn't getting in that damn thing til it warmed up inside anyway. Hence the post. as the defroster was blowin.lol..it worked great!
Believe it or don't. With a humidity always above 50%. 100% all summer, we exercise the defroster plenty.
I was thinking about the (heat=rapid molecular expansion/motion=broken stuff) law.1 up

Many times that I didnt have a scraper and had to get out and scrape the windows with a credit card and no gloves..then your hands are numb for a while while you drive away...I hate when that happensComment

You can just use water. You live on the coast like me, it's not cold enough for it to refreeze. It got to 32 here last night. I just hosed it off and turned on the defrost.They call you paranoid until the worst happens, and in the aftermath they will call you a hero.Comment

yeah. Once the sun comes up, the "hard-freeze" part is history on the coast.
I remember my pops useing water on his '77 F-100 back in the day. The defroster these days even blows the side windows.1 up
