ANYONE HAVE THE SLEEP APNEA TEST

IVE ASKED IT BEFORE BUT I JUST DONT KNOW IF I WANT TO GO. I HAVE A ROUTINE AT NIGHT AND IF IT GETS SCREWED UP I WILL BE TOSSING AND TURNING AT THE PLACE. THEY SAID TO TAKE SOME SLEEPING PILLS OF I DO THAT I WONT FUNCTION THE NEXT DAY

never did it, but my sleeping sucks ass!!! i never sleep through the night!! i need to just accept it and add a shake in at that time!!! lol

I dont know if I want to know if I had sleep apnea. Because then, the only solution is to wear one of those cpap machines on your head at night...I dont know if I could do that...

I have a script to get that test done. I was supposed to go about 2 yrs ago. But that's exactly why I didn't. cause I have a hard time sleeping anywhere except my own bed. I could only imagine trying to sleep for some damn sleep test. My grandmother just had to do it, about a monthy ago, and she said it was no problem. My mother has been on me about getting it done, so I don't know if they just told mne that to get me to go tho.

nope not here.

A friend of mine has sleep apnea and has to wear that contraption. apnea is the pause in between breaths of which can last a few seconds to minutes. this can go undetected for years because the body/mind becomes conditioned to the issue

I was suppose to go also but chickened out. From what a friend tells me who has sleep apnea the mask isnt that bad especially when he wakes up refreshed. Not to mention apnea can kill YOU!!!!!!!!!

2 coworkers had it done and now sleep with the mask on them. They both told me they wish they had done it earlier. They wake up more refreshed then they have ever been.

I say if you are not going to do the treatment that is advised, then don't bother with the sleep study. Sleep apnea is very serious and it is much more than just snoring. Big deal, you have to sleep with a mask. That is a small price to pay for getting proper sleep and oxygen for the body.

I had this test done years ago.
I got there early to settle in for a few hours. My results : no blockages were found but I never went into REM. As soon as I got close to REM sleep I was jerked out of my sleep. This occurred all night over 60 plus times. Basically I was reliving stuff pre/un-consciously and it kept me awake. I was a hard person to sleep with lol. I also went and got a brain scan for seizures and I had no abnormal readings however, as I drifted into sleep I was told that I was speaking yet they couldn't hear me and my tears were flowing. Yet again no REM for fng. Its all good tho.

dude!!! thats funny you say that...my brother in law, the one i told you, you remind me of, does the same thing....when he lived with us he'd fall asleep on a chair in the living room...he would breath heavy, then just fukin stop!!! the first time i was like "what the fuk!!" and i woke him up...i thaught he died right there!! then, when i let him just sleep, he'd stop for 20 or 30 seconds, then gasp for air!!! thats so fuked up!! he'd do this 3 or 4 times, then be done wiht it...that was over 10yrs ago....he went through a tuff time and moved back in for a few months in 08 and didnt do that anymore...i dont know what the fuk it was
