Whos going shopping? I was checking out a 40" 1080p LCD for $300 at Target...but they say those doorbuster deals are BS, because the store only has about 5 or 6 of them in the store..so people will go and knock people over trying to get one and they are all gone by the time they get to it. LOL...I know a girl that is heading out at 3 AM to try to get that $160 XBox with the Connect thing at Bestbuy...they probably only stocked about 3.
I reckon I might head over to Sports Authority early in the morning...its gonna be a freakin circus everywhere
To crazy out there for me, but I used to do it. You will still be able to get great deals on TV's. I can't believe the prices on them know and the Blu-ray players are low to.
We saw people waiting out at Best Buy already, on our way home from dinner. It's freakin cold here too, they are nuts!!!
I was at best buy and they had those tv's for cheap and had a ton of them. I said lets get it then my wife was like why in the world would we give a 7yr old a hige tv like that and I said because its only $300 who cares what the size is i'm more interested in how cheap it us. So what a 1st grader has a huge tv in her room

One of those televisions is exactly what I'm supposed to be getting right now, I guess.
My wife read me that $300 40" description from Target last night. I told her the same about the store having 'so many' on the shelf til 10am. yep, that was the fine print. From 6am to 10am So when those 5 are gone off the shelf. They just wait til 10, then restock the shelves.
I don't wanna get in that shit though. $100-$200 is almost not worth it. I just saw a live news feed from Target. Speak of the devil. Uck that shit.. idk. I'm kinda in the mood for someone to try and snatch something out of my hands this morning.
my wife works seasonal at best buy...she had to be in at 4am this morning. i dont know what other stores do but she said they are jammed with inventory...including the sale items

my wife just got her first break....she said its crazy there...lines rapping around the back of the store....good thing she likes being busy...she said most customers are complaining about walmart and kmart opening lastnight...they are saying that they (walmart, kmart) are out of everything....good for best buy i guess

what about waiting until after Christmas? Will prices be as low or lower than right now?
I heard at some stores people having to stand in the check out line for 45 minutes. That is not worth it to me. I hate standing in line
If you can wait, normally the best deals are after Christmas. Also beware of the electronic sale items...most are specifically made for these sales and many have less features than the standard models. I got into this last year with the tv in my living room. I got a 50" from walmart. I tried finding the part number on the manufacturer website, but it wasn't there. I googles the part number and found out it was built specifically for walmart's big sale. It only had 1 hdmi, no svideo, etc....now the picture is acting a little crazy. The deals seem great, but I'll stick with the "you get what you pay for" mentality. Electronics are WAY too easy to cut corners and lower the price

Good point. Thanks. The TV I was reading about at Target was a 40" Westinghouse...Westinghouse? Theres where the problem comes. Westinghouse is probably a lame brand just like buying a TV made by Polaroid:JUNK
I need a flat screen for my office and maybe one for at home. I only want to spend about 300 on each...so I will wait till after Christmas, unless I see something I cant resist...How about buying TVs online?

We bought a 32 inch Westinghouse years ago when the Lcd's first came out. It has been great! Westinghouse has been around a long time.
Even with what I said, the tv I bought has worked fine. Right now I am starting to see a lot of red blotches a lot which makes me think the picture might be going out. I guess it just depends on what level of quality you want.
I'm sure online is good. It's probably the same situation though. I learned this a while back from a friend that worked at maytag. He was talking about lowes appliance price match. Maytag makes appliances for lowes, home depot, etc....that have store specific part numbers so that you can't ever find that part number at a different store which means it voids the price match. These places are sneaky

I wouldn't worry so much about the tv not working that well (I may have just gotten a lemon). My biggest point was that the tv won't have as many features as the you might want and to just research it a bit before buying.
