Hanging VS Free Standing Bag

Have always used a hanging heavy bag to get ripped for contests. I have tried to put one here but ended up drilling about 10 holes in my ceiling, never finding a beam. So I bought one of those heavy bag stands. Its not the same as hanging from ceiling. So I was looking at stand up bags at sports authority..the3 kind you can fill the base with water..I think I can get some good cardio if I buy one of these...QUESTION: should I buy the red bag for $135 or buy the human man Torso bag for $235?...

We have 2 standing bags. Fuzo uses the large one and fills it with water. He does a lot of kicking on it and has some strongass legs and it seems o hold up quite well. Here is the site he got it from.

The bag I have is awesome,the human torso bag its wierd when you hit it because dancing around the bag its like htting the back of the head or in the back. Stick with the stand up bags instead

They have those bags at my gym but they dont have any water in the base so they wobble all over the place.

I wouldn't want to the human torso bag. I don't really think you could get as much out of it as a regular bag. I have one of the free standing bags and fill the base with water and it is fine. I have mine on carpet so it will slide around as you hit it and what not, but I like it a lot.

Academy has them for $199. I went to buy deer corn and came out with a bag lol.

We have a couple of them at my dojo, I wish the base was smaller though. I have seen a company that makes a hanging bag with a wide stand (so you can move around it at different angles) forget where jus gotta look probally a little spendy $299 I think ?

Honestly I would try and get a stud finder and hang it up. Im not a huge fan of the stands, it always wobbles around, same ive found with some of the free standing ones. Obviously it depends how hard you are hitting it, plus, my free standing one may not have been as big as the one you are looking at I cant remember.

The stand is a 90 deg that can be put in a corner of a room, each leg is 9' so it looks like you might be able to beat on it pretty good.

i cant use those water base bags. if you really put some ass into a kick they fall over even with the base filled with water. also forget throwing straight knees, you will end up on the floor with water pouring out of the base.

like stated by rc, get a stud finder and mount a real hanging bag. they are so much better and dont scoot across the floor as you pound away

Also if the wave master has enough sand or water in it and its on a rubber matt floor it wont move but mabey a inch here or there. But if its on your carpet or basement ground yes it will move. I personaly havent seen Any break. When that base is filled to the top with sand or water its planted preety good
