Anyone have an Amazon Kindle? I am looking to buy one and wondering your thoughts on it. It would be a great way to read and store books without taking up physical space.

I know a guy who has one and he totally loves it. Books are cheaper for Kindle as well. he said it has a dictionary built in, which is really cool. Wonder if the price has come down at all...I would be interested in getting one too...another awesome thing is they are backlit, so you can read in the darkLast edited by Dzone; 11-08-2010, 02:01 PM. -

They are about $139 right now. Books are $5-$10 cheaper than hard copies, so buying 14 books would pay for it. I was wondering how it is on the eyes. I love to read but I don't want a Kindle.. I love books, I like the way they feel, the way they smell.........I love my library. I can see where a Kindle would be handy but I wonder how it is for reading the screen. Is it similar to looking at a computer screen?Comment

I have the free Amazon Kindle dowload for my phone. It makes my phone a smaller version of the Kindle. I haven't used it, but it seems like a very convenient means to books.1 up

I think the Kindle is great. The only reason I don't have one of my own though is for the same reasons 3sweeties mentioned. I love having the actual books in hand.Comment
