Ours is sitting right behind me on the dining table waiting to be carved. We have to decide what we want to do with it this year. They're only good for about 4-5 days down here, once carved and sitting outside. After a week, they start looking rough and flattening out on the bottom.

those are sweet!!!! we go to a subdivision near our house to trick or treat wiht the kids...there's a house over there, that every year, they carve ATLEAST 30 or 40 pumpkins!!! all real artistic and put them on display in front of there house on these shelves....some of them are amazing!! i'll see if i can remember a camara this year!!

we dont do it. my kids never really got into carving. we may do one or whatever, but usually not. we live in the sticks, back in the woods...no one would see it

My wife bought some 2 weeks ago and bought some pictures to lay over and carve. Well, the pumpkins were too small for the pictures, so I reduced the size on the copier at home to make them fit.....bad idea!!

This made the small cuts even smaller!! I was doing a wolf howling and the top of his head fell off because there wasn't much there to support it. We are going to get some bigger ones and try this again!!

^ WOW Horse, those are some awesome pumpkins...
Call me weird but I like the smell and feeling of when you reach in and pull out all the slimy goop and seeds from the inside of the pumpkin..LOL

It was close to that. The wolf was coming in from the side instead of the bottom like yours. The part right above the eye and little toward the neck is what came off. I realize some things I did wrong though. The next would should go better

That one looks good though!
