Re: Buying soda pop with food stamps

^Totally agree with that horse..Good that you keep things healthy for your family ...
I recently talked to a guy who is on 100% government disability. He asked if I had any handy man jobs he could do for me. I told him I had about 10 dead treees that needed to be cut down. he says "Oh, i do that all the time, and I will cut the trees up and stack the wood for firewood or else I will load the wood on my truck and haul it off for you"...Yes, he has a handicapped plate on his truck...hahahahaha

Yep, I understand where youre coming from daved. Nothing wrong with an occasional pop for the kiddos. And ive known lots of good folks who had to get foodstamps to tide them over between jobs. Probably why its called a "bridge"... Maybe people can get some sweets and stuff with them, just not go crazy living on pure garbage. Some people seriously think a nutritious breakfast is pop tarts

i'm sure there's plenty of people that do feed their kids crap. i'm not one of them...matter of fact, alot of the folks in this area aint one of them either...but as i said...i could understand why they do...a pack of poptarts, genaric, is 1.59 for 8. thats 19.8 cents a tart. thats .39 cents a package....i cant gegt a bowl of wheeties for that!!! i'm not gonna lie...i got a 15yr old daughter that takes 1.5hrs to get ready for school!! her bus comes at 6:30...she gets up at 5am....50% of the time she grabs a pop tart on the way out the door...she knows i'm not happy wiht that, but whatever....gert your fukin homework done, keep away from the penisis, stoay off drugs and we'll deal wiht your fukin nutrition later.
