COMPUTER HELP..can't connect!

    COMPUTER HELP..can't connect!

    Hey guys

    I can't connect the the internet on my desktop!

    When I go to the network connection page it has the yellow exclamation point and the red x. I can't figure out how to fix it.

    Please help

    Are you on a company network or home? Have there been any recent changes? You could go to command line and type ipconfig and see if you are even getting an IP address.

      Im at home. I am connected through netgear usb picking up my belkin router.
      IPCONFIG won't work.

      And I tried a system restore but it says it was unsuccessful??...cpu was working fine yesterday morning.

        Are you new to using this router? I ask because, I also connect thru netgear usb using a belkin router, and I have had a ton of problems keeping a connection lately. I always get disconnected, and I just have to keep trying and trying and trying until I finally connect.

        I would be interested to know if this is a new issue for you or what, for I am unsure what to do about mine.
