HE'S BEEN IN THE WH FOR 2 YEARS. HE HAS A RENTAL PROPERTY IN CHICAGO BUT NEVER HAS HAD A RESIDENCE SO HE CANT RUN THATS THE LAW

Well, I assume he has it figured out. Perhaps his residence remained Chicago the whole time he has been in D.C. That is nothing out of the ordinary for people to do when work requires them to travel. However, in his case, I would think that going to D.C. would have been a permanent move, but maybe since the presidency is temporary he kept his residence in IL. I would say he did. Also, I would say he will win, and I would bet there's a good reason he's doing it and it's probably as corrupt as it could be. Nothing that man does is not corrupt, nor is anything Obama does. The two are inseparable up until this happened, so I would say they have a plan. Of course he will get plenty of money from the president for the city of Chicago. I think when Jsjs predicts that Emanuel will win, he's thinking it's a sure thing by means of corruption.
I really don't think Rahm is too concerned about the votes either.

He is allowed to do that. I have been on 100% travel for the last 2 years and rented my condo out the whole time. I simply had a UPS box for my mail and kept my vehicles registered in my home state along with my address. That is all you need to do to keep residence. The military is a prime example, and also contractors working for the military. A lot of people I work with and everybody from my company where I am currently assigned are in the same boat. Our residency is our home of record but we work and reside in a different state. Lucky for me I am only 200 miles from home so I travel back on the weekends and stay with my girlfriend (we have a house together). Prior to this assignment though I didn't have a place to stay in my home state. A politician assigned to the White House would probably not have to change his residence, considering it is a temporary assignment, but not sure about the President. But remember, even active duty military do not have to change their residence no matter how long they are stationed somewhere. Exactly what I was conveying. The bailout money has not all been spent, thus the president can throw as much as he wants to the city of Chicago for the Democrats to win their districts. This was mentioned early on when it became clear that the bailout money was not being spent immediately as they said it would. As for corruption, it goes hand in hand with Obama and Rham Emanuel. I don't think they come any more corrupt than those two, and I mean that. But Rham has got to be the king of corruption. He will win, there is no doubt about that. Okay, I just did some research on this topic after hearing Fox and Friends point out some supposed facts. According to Fox he registered as a resident in Washington D.C. And CBS online news article said he has been living in D.C. for 20 months, but eligibility requirements say you must spend the year prior in Chicago in order to be eligible. You all have already pointed this out, but I assumed his residence had not been changed by him, and I apparently didn't realize what Fuzo said about the 1 year requirement (my apology). Thus, he faces a tough case that should be easy to prove due to his high profile, which makes it obvious that he shouldn't be eligible.
My opinion is that this will be blatantly obvious corruption and a loophole will be found or made to permit him to run. The President is his best of friends and has all the power needed, especially for a corrupt city like Chicago where they have plenty of connections. However, I may be proved wrong in my prediction that he will win. It appears there is already a lot of resentful voters in Chicago of Rham. If the election is not won by fraud he may indeed have a tough time if the other candidate has enough support. But what is really ridiculous is the fact that he wants to run for Mayor in a town that he has been disconnected from for almost two years, it just doesn't make any sense. And what's really funny is that he made a video in which he said "I was born here, and my wife Amy and I raised our three children here", and "I'm glad to be home." But the video was actually filmed in D.C. Now that is great! lol. He filmed the video lying from the start. What a pathetic piece of trash he is. I honestly don't think there is another politician who is as corrupt and disgraceful as Emanuel, not even Obama himself, and that's saying a lot.Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force.
