thanks to the encouragement of my bro, O2. I now own a 08 Yamaha R6. My brother was selling it and gave it to me cheap! it has about 600 miles and he gave me a joe rocket jacket and an arai helmet.

You have to spruce that thing up now add some things to it make it look preety. And if you dont use the back seat remove those pegs

600 miles. That bike isn't even broke in yet. Go ahead and give it a oil change. Get those shaving out of the motor that the filterb doesn't catch. Thee motors are built super tight. They have to machine the moving parts into place. So they're polished as they break-in over the 1st 1K. Most of the shaving come off in the 1st 300miles though. I would change it. It's at 600 now, so you can give it some decent high rpm blasts, then shut the throttle fast at the top of 2nd. It'll "suck" the break-in shavings out of the motor. Then change it 1 more time at 1K miles. MAKE SURE YOU USE THE OIL THAT WAS PUT IN IT FROM THE SHOP UNTIL YOUR 3000 MILE CHANGE! Very mportant. Once you give it that 1K change, it's ready to be ridden how it was made.
The tolerances are so tight on sportbikes. You can feel them get faster and faster throughout the break-in. From showroom floor to 1000, it acquires a good bit more power.

JIPPED, YOU MAY WANT TO INVEST IN SOME FRAME SLIDERS LIKE HORSE HAS ON HIS. THE SLIDERS SAVED MY BIKE ONE DAY BIG TIME. SOME DAMN GIRL ON A CELL PHONE RAN A RED LIGHT AND WAS HEADED RIGHT AT ME. MY CHOICES WERE TO LAY THE BIKE DOWN OR NAIL HER IN THE HOOD. I LAID MY BIKE DOWN AND IT SLID ON THE SLIDERS FOR ABOUT 30 FEET. NOT ONE SCRATCH ON THE BIKE. THE SLIDER PUCKS SAVED ALL THE FAIRINGS. I HAD TO REPLACE A SLIDER ON ONE SIDE BUT IT WASNT BUT $20
